The Order of the Holy Innocents
The Order of The Holy Innocents
By The Very Rev. Frederick Bentley OHI
The Order of the Holy Innocents (Anglican Priests for Life), is a group of Priests dedicated to defending Christ's Innocent children (by being their Priests) in prayer and witness. We use the Book of Common Prayer in it’s Catholic expression and always submit to the authority of our Bishop. Wandering Priests are not welcomed in our group and all must be in good standing with their Bishop. Our cause is for the children of God from the point of conception to the gates of heaven. We are a movement of Peace daily praying our Office and  one of our prayers listed  or one similar. Included at each Mass said by our Priests is a prayer for the Unborn and we are obligated to offer the Holy Eucharist each Holy Innocents in monumentum. We preach at least twice a year on the cause, one time being Pro-Life Sunday in January.
"Out of the mouths of babes, O God, and of sucklings hast thou perfected praise: because of thine adversaries." Introit Ex ore infantium. Ps.8.  Holy Innocents
"Pray that you will understand the words of Jesus, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Ask yourself “How has he loved me? Do I really love others in the same way?” Unless this love is among us, we can kill ourselves with work and it will only be work, not love. Work without love is slavery.
Little things are indeed little, but to be faithful in little things is a great thing. A sacrifice to be real must cost, must hurt, must empty ourselves. The fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service, the fruit of service is peace."

We are living in times that challenge the cruel imagination and when expediting selfish motives for material gain are at hand. In the interest of opening another front for the killing of human embryos, the biotech industry, some of  the academic research establishment, and what has been  the mainstream international media have exerted enormous political pressure to this cause.
From a scientific standpoint, every living being is a genetically complete single-celled individual, called an "embryo". During his or her first eight weeks of growth and development, arms, legs, eyes, and in fact, all major organs and bodily systems are in place. This “genetically complete” period is just when technologists would harvest for experimentation, spare parts. Those who work in science and technology should be reminded by us in our preaching, writing and conversation that we do not do bad to do good. … “in the name of Jesus Christ, that ye have in rememberance, into how high a dignity, and how weighty an office and charge ye are called: that is to say, to be Messengers, Watchmen, and Stewards of the Lord; to teach, and premonish, to feed and provided for the Lord’s family; to seek for Christ’s sheep that are dispersed abroad, and for his children who are in the midst of this naughty world …” Charge to Priests - Book of Common Prayer
"For the power of Man to make himself what he pleases means, as we have seen, the power of some men to make other men what they please." --C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man
To pretend that individual members of the species Homo sapiens become "human" at some time in their lives other than fertilization (conception) is to disregard indisputable scientific evidence. At Anglican Priests for Life, we know that the real power rests with God and our allegiance is to prayer for this cause. Victory through prayer, please give us your support and if you are an Anglican Priest please send for a Prayer Contract and Join.
